HOW LISTENING, MAKING, EXERPIENCING, REMEMBERING, PRACTISING MUSIC CHANGES YOU
WELL, ACTUALLY, EVERYTHING
you do changes you. Also not doing things changes you. Basically, every decision you make each day estimates range from less than a hundred into the thousands [depends, what you count] is a point of no return. No:
I’LL BE BACK
So the fact music changes You, is kind of obvious, to begin with. Nevertheless, this definition thing is not what I intended to write about. So I don’t.
MUSIC CHANGES YOUR BRAIN
There have been several studies which kind of state: that music, especially making the latter increases your brainpower. Specifically: your neural plasticity. Which means: the ability of your brain to adapt to changes. An increase here is a good thing.
I personally think this is a major point. Especially, if you try not to rely on reading music when practicing but rather: remembering everything. Since I couldn’t read music for more than half the time since starting to make music, I think this juices up your brain memory. At least a tiny bit.
LISTEN & REPEAT
If you at the same time, also try to get what others are playing and try to repeat it: this also could be huge. Also watching others. Very simple. Very straight-forward.
Just the simple act of practicing teaching you this one basic fact about life: Investing time into something will improve your skills. And it gets hammered into your brain until you: either quit making music or it then: is at some point hammered into your brain.
That’s all for now,
